To complete the IVF procedure, lots of special equipment and well-trained specialists to carry out each step of the procedure are required.
Once the eggs are picked up, the eggs must be fertilized either in the Petri dish or by intracytoplasmic injection. The fertilized eggs are incubated in special incubators for three days or cultured in special media for five days before the embryos are transferred to the uterus. Sometimes the eggs or embryo have to be stored in the frozen state for later use.
All these steps need special equipment and well trained personnel to carry out the procedure. The success of the procedure depends on these steps to a very great extent.
